Today I am excited to share another amazing Hartville, Ohio business with my readers. This shop happens to be in Hartville’s Historic Downtown District nestled amongst a variety of retail stores including restaurants, salons, candy store, and lots more. I love everything about this part of Hartville. The buildings are all so ornate and each is different from the next. Even the lamp posts are gorgeous. It almost feels like stepping back in time.
But what’s better than what Hartville’s Historic Downtown District looks like on the outside is what this particular shop holds on the inside. At this shop I am able to shop for all three of my favorite girls – Two E’s in a Pod!
Two E’s in a Pod is an upscale resale boutique that specializes in everything baby, toddler, young child, and maternity. Upon entering the front door I found rack upon rack of gently used children’s clothing ranging from newborn to size 8. I spent quite a bit of time browsing through sizes for Alleigh, Kaelyn, and Willow and had a hard time narrowing down my choices. Absolutely everything was clean, stylish, and in near perfect condition. Plus they were the brands I love – Gymboree, Gap, and lots more with a price point that fit my budget. Most used items were between $3.99 – $9.99
In addition to the huge selection of clothing Two E’s in a Pod also carries infant furniture, baby gear, books, maternity clothing, and lots of toys. All three of my girls had fun playing in the toy area while watching cartoons. I loved that this store was very child friendly. Many times even stores that only carry children’s items still give off a vibe that actual children aren’t wanted there, but Emilie Ketcham (owner of Two E’s in a Pod) was happy to let my girls play with the toys and even offered a stroller for Willow to sit in while I browsed around the shop. I felt right at home.
And yet another area of Two E’s in a Pod is the “artisan pod” which is showcased on the entire right side wall when you walk through the frontdoors. It includes several handmade collections from local designers including Ellie Grace Designs (Hair Accessories), Handmade By Ozella (Pillowcase Dresses, Aprons, Purses, Burp Clothes, Crayon Rolls, and Chalkboard Placemats), My Little Hedge Hog (Custom Embroidered Burp Clothes, Bibs, and Birthday Outfits, and Key Fobs), NoodleNoggins (Knit Hats), Landinn.Hane Pretties (Bubble Gum Necklaces), Tootsies (Infant Shoes), Lovey Loops (Taggie Blankets), and Suzie Cakes (Diaper Cakes). It felt like Etsy in real life and I loved that Emilie had welcomed these local designers into her shop. We picked out a couple Ellie Grace Designs hair clips for Alleigh that were felt with embroidered designs – a pink crayon and yellow pencil to celebrate back to school time.
In addition to the hair clips we chose Willow ended up with some cute “new to us” outfits which she has been rockin lately. An adorable pair of Gymboree pajamas, Gap t-shirt, and a few other things. How cute is she!
Not only is Two E’s in a Pod a great place to shop, but it’s also a great place to sell your items as well. Unlike consignment they purchase items outright which means you get cash in hand immediately. This also means there is no waiting or wondering if your items are selling and no keeping track of when you need to come back to pick up items that haven’t sold. You also have the option of being paid in “e-pod cash” which is store credit. If choosing this option you will receive an extra 10% on top of the cash offer and can then use your “e-pod cash” to purchase anything in the entire store!
Whether you are buying or selling I highly recommend checking out Two E’s in a Pod because you won’t find a higher quality resale shop around. Plus if you go shopping and mention this review you will receive 10% off your purchase. Just tell them that Mama Harper from Happenings of the Harper Household sent ya. They are also participating in the Discover Fall in Hartville Giveaway as part of the “Historic Downtown Hartville Shopping Package” with a $30 gift certificate.
