Monday was the first night of bowling league for the season. Since Dustin works swing shift alternating between days and afternoons I need someone to watch the girls every other week. When Alleigh graduated from pre-kindergarten I was very excited when her teacher Miss Brooke let me know she would love to babysit the girls if we ever needed her and this was the perfect opportunity. Alleigh was so excited to see Miss Brooke again! And I was thrilled because I have very few people that I trust to watch my children and Miss Brooke had spent so much time with Alleigh over the last school year and I had spent lots of time chatting with her during pick-up and drop-off that I felt very at ease leaving my kiddos in her care.
When Miss Brooke arrived she brought a bag full of fun activities and treats for the girls. They were so excited that they were literally pushing me out the door. Through out the evening I loved receiving texts and seeing my kiddos smiling faces popping up on Instagram and I just had to share them here.
Alleigh and Kaelyn haven’t stopped talking about everything from balloons to glow sticks to the pretty braids Miss Brooke made in their hair. When I got home I found Kaelyn sleeping with a glow stick halo resting on the top of her head – so precious. AND I found a clean kitchen!! Miss Brooke made the girls dinner and then cleaned up the kitchen too. She totally deserves the Best Babysitter Award.
I asked Alleigh if she would like Miss Brooke to come back and babysit in two weeks when I have bowling and daddy will be at work. She said yes and asked how long two weeks is… when I informed her 14 days she replied with “how about in two days?” Yup, she loves Miss Brooke.
