One of the newest trends in decorating is using vinyl decals. They can be used everywhere including walls, doors, decorative plates, coasters, windows, and more. And today I am excited to share with you a company that specializes in these fun decals – Simply Said.
At Simply Said there mission is “sharing the power of language to make a positive impact in people’s lives by offering inspiration, humor, comfort, and encouragement through creative expression.” They have done just that with the hundreds of design options available that can be customized to fit the decor in your space perfectly. I was very excited to work with independent consultant, Danielle Maggiore, to select the perfect decal for our front door.
After browsing through the huge brochure I finally settled on a design that we could personalize with our names and the year Dustin and I got married. After choosing the design the next step was to choose the correct size for our space and then the colors that would complement our decor the best.
I gave all of my selections to Danielle and she placed my order. It arrived very quickly and I was very excited when she offered to apply the decal to our front door. The process was actually really simple and she even let Alleigh and Kaelyn help in the process which they thought was awesome. The series of pictures below shows the process, but before applying your own decal I highly suggest watching the “How To Apply My Simpy Said Design” YouTube video. This video will show you step by step exactly what you need to do so that you do not accidentally ruin your decal. Applying the decal is basically a one shot deal. They are removable without damaging the surface they were applied to, but they are not reusable.
I absolutely love how our front door looks now! I do want to mention that we live on a quiet little dead end road where we know all of our neighbors and converse with them on a frequent basis. The only people that ever drive down our road or knock on our door are people that have a reason to be here. If we lived in a busier area or some place that I did not know my neighbors well I would not be comfortable placing our first names on my front door. If that is your living situation there are plenty of options that only use last names, have no names at all – instead a “Welcome” type saying, or you could use this design and leave off the first names.
Now let’s talk Christmas presents! There are many decal options that would make wonderful gifts. You could choose to purchase a decal that would be applied to the recipients wall or other surface in their home if you know their tastes very well and are able to get the measurements you would need, but many times that’s not an option. No worries – there are still plenty of ideas at Simply Said that will work. Just a few ideas include Design-A-Coasters, Design-A-Metal Embossed Rectangle, and Design-A-Cube… but there are many many more ideas and items to personalize in the catalog. All of these items make great gifts because they can be personalized yet the recipient can place them wherever they choose in their home.
It’s never to early to start Christmas shopping and I am a firm believer that personalized gifts are the most special because it shows that the gift giver put lots of time, effort, and thought into finding the perfect gift. Simply Said can help you accomplish this for everyone on your gift list and I know that independent consultant, Danielle Maggiore, would be happy to help as well. And remember Simply Said truly does make this process a snap.
And guess what! One lucky Happenings of the Harper Household reader can get their Christmas shopping started when they win a $25 gift certificate to spend on any Simply Said product of their choosing. Of course you could also keep it for yourself… you deserve a gift too, hehe! To enter fill out the Giveaway Tools entry form below. Good luck.
