Avoid Messes with the Bummis Best-Ever Bib Sleeved and Breast Pad Travel Pack {Review and Giveaway}

Sometimes I laugh at my evolution of parenting, and I’m sure lots of other moms feel this way too. With Aiden, I tried pretty hard to do things by the book. I fed him every 3-4 hours on a schedule, solids started at 4 months with jarred baby food, if a toy fell on the ground it was immediately sanitized, and tummy time was a daily cry it out battle. When Reese came along, he got fed a little more on demand, solids started a bit later with homemade baby food, the toy got a good brush down, and tummy time happened a few times a week. With Ezra, feedings happen whenever he’s hungry, baby-led weaning with no purees started at 6 months, a little dirt can’t hurt on a toy, and what’s tummy time when you wear a baby all the time? Yep, I definitely laugh at myself.

And oh my, baby led weaning… well, messy is a light way to describe it. But I totally love watching him just digging into food like nobody’s business! Lucky for us, we were able to try out the new Bummis Best-Ever Bib Sleeved… and it fits the job description perfectly!

FlatBib

If you’ve ever used a Bummis diaper wrap (like the Simply Lite!), then you will recognize the fabric right away. It’s a thin, soft, s-t-r-e-t-c-h-y, waterproof fabric that fits perfectly, every time. It keeps clothes so nice, it’s like the mess never even happened. But they’ve went a bit above and beyond the fabric with the Best-Ever Bib Sleeved, and put in some other great details too.

I’m sure you figured it out by now, but I love this bib so much because it has long sleeves! I’ve already learned in our brief journey with baby-led weaning that either no clothes or complete clothing coverage is necessary. And the Best-Ever Bib is perfect for this, because you can’t always just strip a baby down to eat, especially in public. Plus, they have really saved my kid clothing budget by adding a super soft elastic to the sleeves to keep the messes out, and a pocket on the bottom that catches the messes before they hit Ezra’s lap.

Plus, I feel like they totally thought out my messy child (and Mama Harper’s Willow, I hear) when they put a tie on the bib instead of Velcro (Ezra has already figured out how to remove that in a snap). How much more awesomeness can you get in a bib?

Well, more- because Bummis is made and manufactured in North America, and is guaranteed to be lead, phthalate and BPA free.

And the Best-Ever Bib is machine AND dryer friendly.

And it comes clean super easily, so it’s great for messes other than food- like paints, crayons, etc.

And I think I’m in love with this company and everything they stand for, hehe.

The Best-Ever Bib is also available in Ocean, Tangerine, and Lime color combinations, as well as the cute Froggy Pond and Jungle prints. Ezra and I chose the Ocean color combo. I love that it’s bright and crisp!

Bummis has also taken their awesome bib-making ideas and put them into something for me too- a fantastic Breast Pad Travel Pack. Each pack comes with 2 sets of organic cotton breast pads inside Bummis’ Mini Fabulous Wet Bag.

Breastpadsinpack

With the Travel Pack, you have the option of two-sided organic cotton with a powerfully absorbent core, or organic cotton on one side with a cute, waterproof fabric on the other for extra protection.

Since mine were for nighttime use, I chose the cute printed waterproof pack. They are so super soft, even after a few washes. I can use them at night, knowing I’ll be leak and mess free, and then stick them in with the diaper laundry, since they need to be washed in a similar way (no additives, fabric softeners, brighteners, etc). Then I just lay or hang them to dry for a few hours. They are pretty noticeable through a t-shirt because of the waterproof material, but I don’t mind since I wear them at night. I haven’t tried the all cotton ones, but I bet they will be pretty unnoticeable because of how soft they are.

WaterproofPads

The Mini Fabulous Wet Bag they come in is completely waterproof and great to use for storing the breast pads in the diaper bag or your purse, but it’s also great for other things since it’s food grade quality and has the same rigorous standards as the Best-Ever Bib. So when not in use for my breast pads, it’s great for toddler snacks too!
