Feel the Difference of Bamboo with Wonderful Bambino Diapers {Review & Giveaway}

After over 3 years of cloth diapering, I’ve decided I’m done…. Done with the nasty ammonia smell I just can’t get rid of no matter how hard I try. Done with build up. Done with ammonia rashes. Done with the insane static. Done with using disposables because nighttime causes leaks. Just done with microfiber! (You thought I meant diapering in general, didn’t you? Nah, I don’t give up that easy!)

So, we’re currently in the process of switching over to natural fibers, mainly cotton and bamboo. I’m especially in love with bamboo right now- it’s soft, super absorbent, and generally more eco-friendly than many other fibers. Plus, almost all of my issues have been resolved! There’s no overwhelming ammonia or buildup because they’re easier to clean, the static has improved tons, and I can use cloth overnight successfully for the first time ever. In fact, we haven’t used a disposable for nights in almost 2 weeks. A big thank to the samples I received from Wonderful Bambino for that- a company that only specializes in 2 products: a bamboo one-size fitted and bamboo inserts.

First- the Wonderful Bambino bamboo fitted diaper. I love it. A lot. Like I wash diapers more just so I have this for nighttime a lot. Here’s a bit of the breakdown of why I love it.

-It’s completely adjustable, and even has 3 rows of 4-wide snaps to ensure it snaps down really flat.

– There’s a soaker sewn in, so I can leave Ezra in the diaper all night without adding anything.

-Bamboo is a natural fiber that’s safe against their skin. They haven’t had a single nighttime rash with these.

-There is a snug elastic at the legs and the back that keep everything contained, yet don’t dig into the boys’ skin, even overnight.

– It’s one-size and can fit 8-30 lbs (although I’d venture to say even more than 30 lbs, since Reese is 35 lbs and it’s not too small yet). It even has an extra hip snap and crossover snaps for small babies.

– It’s the trimmest I’ve seen yet on the boys for a fitted, even under a cover.

– And most importantly, it holds LOTS of liquid without feeling waterlogged, and is perfect for nighttime and car trips.

Now for the bamboo inserts

They’re wonderful for a couple of different uses. They work great by themselves as a doubler and are thin enough to fold in half for boys and place in the wetzone.

For my pocket diapers and for daytime use with a cover, I just use 2 stacked on top of each other for absorbency that more than rivals my 2 microfiber inserts I was using. Plus, my diapers are now much more trim, and the softness doesn’t compare to anything else.

They also have a reasonable price point:

Bamboo Fitted- $19.95 (available in pink or green stitching/snaps)

Inserts- $17.50/3, $24.95/5, or $39.95/10

Want some too?  Be sure to check out Wonderful Bambino and guess what – we’re giving away a One-Size Bamboo Fitted diaper and 3 Bamboo Inserts to one lucky reader.  Fill out the giveaway tools form below to enter!  Good luck!

In the coliepcatmd world we live in, it’s good to find simple solutions.

    • The entire things will be other way round in areas where PDF is well functioning if the cash transfer is introduced. Such areas must oppose this move. Well functioning PDF is blessings in disguise for the marginalized people and in fact they have struggled for it. John Drez has very rightly observed in his study about this phenomenon. It is in the fitness of things to make the PDF functional in non functioning areas. We can hope from Nitish in Bihar at least.

I just broke through that ‘blizzard in June’ fear of writing – yesterday in fact. Fear is a great big balancing act and sometimes it can crush you, but you know what I have now from breaking through the snowed in pass? I now have knowledge. I now know that I can get through the white out to the other side and that once I am there, I remember why I write because I love it.Great post!Maria

I love everything about it! (except the poop, of course) I love how soft and comfortable they are on my baby, completely free of those nasty chemicals sposies have. I love how easy the upkeep is on them. And most of all, I LOVE LOVE LOVE how adorable they are on my little one. I just can’t resist that adorable fluffy bum. 🙂

    • that looking at the footage, it appears that Teresa was the one set up. So many comments are starting with something like:I can’t stand Teresa but even I cannot agree that she set anyone up……I enjoy Wendy Williams but I know what you mean. I always feel a bit let down when goes …’to the dark side’.

    • Cool! That’s a clever way of looking at it!
