Babies love to be held. And while I am all about wearing the babies, I also know that every mom needs to just set. the. baby. down. sometimes. Sometimes for sanity, sometimes for safety, sometimes for comfort. So when we do put baby down, it’s really important to have a safe place that will keep him entertained and stimulated for a while. The Tiny Love Gymini Developlace is just that, plus more!
The Gymini Developlace is an enchanting activity gym that stimulates, interests, and amuses babies of all ages, from birth through toddler years. With 5 modes in one, the Developlace is age appropriate and ever changing as your baby grows. Plus, the print is so bright, fun, and just stinking cute (at Happenings of the Harper Household, both Mama Harper and myself MAY have a love affair with squirrels!).
The Developlace serves as a 5 way activity gym for baby’s every stage.
Newborn: provides a cozy, closed environment with decreased stimulation when one or both side flaps are folded up and secured with the attached Velcro tabs.
Infant: activity gym with multiple places to hang toys from loops at different heights, depending on size of baby. Also serves as a tummy time mat, and even includes a fun peek-a-boo squirrel under a leaf for babies to explore while they are on their belly. Ezra is definitely not a fan of tummy time, but he was absolutely in love with the mirror that I attached to a bottom loop for him to look into.
Crawlers: both sides pull up and attach with Velcro to create a tunnel for new crawlers. Both Reese (2 years) and Aiden (3 years) had fun crawling through and playing in the “tent.”
Toddlers/independent sitters: one pull-up flap becomes an activity center. It has a net to place toys in, a hole to throw the included soft ball toy into or play peek-a-boo through, and Velcro tabs where soft crinkly numbers that have hanging loops can be detached and Velcroed in place. Aiden had a lot of fun throwing the ball and counting the numbers out loud as he stuck them on.
From a mommy perspective, I especially love a few features. First, it’s super sturdy. The two red plastic pieces snap in to create a secure top, which many activity gyms are missing. Second, it’s machine washable! Enough said, right?! Third, the Developlace comes with a bunch of super cute toys to attach. I think my favorite is the flying squirrel (the big boys say it’s one of our sugar gliders!). Finally, it’s big! At 32” wide by 53” long when the sides are unfolded, there’s plenty of room for Ezra to practice his rolling over skills. I also can’t wait for spring to use it outside since I can pull up the flaps as a breezeblock, and the top netting will provide a slight sunshade (Hey, I can dream about sun… it’s 8 degrees today and we got 12 inches of snow last night… for the 3rd time this winter!).
The Tiny Love Gymini Developlace is definitely Ezra and Mommy approved, and has a price point of $79.99. Visit Tiny Love to purchase and get a closer look at the Developlace.
