We, as mom’s, tend to take care of everyone else but ourselves. We buy our kids the best bath soaps and lotions and well, I know personally most of the time I skimp on my own bath and skin care routine. After the winter we have had my skin has been in need of some TLC and my current gels and lotions just weren’t cutting it.
Thankfully Dr.Fischer and his company have thought of our needs and have created a line of skin care that involves a pure holistic and wellness concept with dead sea minerals, vitamins, natural oils and herbal extracts that pamper and indulge both the body and mind.
I was sent the Dead Sea Minerals gift set to try. Included in this set is a mineral creamy shower mousse, mineral body butter, a body scrub and a hand cream. These products contain the actual mineral complex from the mud and water of the dead sea for the treatment of many chronic skin conditions, relax muscular tension and encourage vital and radiant looking skin.
Since my skin is super dry after this very cold winter we have had I decided I would try the body scrub first. In the past I have tried other body scrubs and I always have found them very difficult to rinse off all of the scrub particles. This scrub was a whole new experience. The particles in the scrub are so fine that they do a great job removing all of the dead cells and it rinses so easily! I was a happy camper.
The shower mousse is what I would call a foam. It leaves your skin feeling very soft which is what you would expect from a product that contains oils such as olive, cotton, and almond as well as vitamins A and E . I also love the light scent of the mousse.
After you have scrubbed off all of the dead cells or indulged in the shower mousse it is time to use the body butter. I will be very honest, I was very skeptical of the body butter. I have tried a large number of body butters in the past and they all had two things in common, they left my skin feeling greasy and they always felt so heavy. I was pleasantly surprised with Dr.Fischer’s body butter. It is thick and creamy but it absorbs quickly in the skin and leaves only a soft feeling and light scent. My husband said the body butter left me smelling like a cinnabon. I had to ask him if that was a good thing. Dr.Fischer has listed that it contains vanilla and patchouli. I will add the scent did last all day for me which I loved since so many lotions seem to fade after a short time.
I was very excited when I saw that this set included a hand cream. My hands are constantly dry. I do dishes by hand, scrub my floors by hand, change diapers so I am frequently washing my hands…yeah they go through a lot in a day. One use of this hand cream and my hands felt moisturized but not greasy. The hand cream tube is also a convenient size that can easily be carried with you in your purse or diaper bag.
All of the products have their own unique scent but work extremely well together and never felt over powering.
