Back-to-school time is always a busy and exciting month, and now that Aiden is in his second year of preschool, he’s really looking forward to all of the fun he’s going to have this year. He landed a really fun teacher this year and even has a few familiar faces in his class that he knows from last year. Plus, he knows that back-to-school time now means new supplies and clothes too, but any new back-to-school outfit wouldn’t be complete without a fantastic hairstyle to go with it! That’s why I was so excited to bring to you SoCozy– a line of products that help parents easily and effortlessly manage their kids’ hair without all the nasties.
SoCozy Professional Hair Care for Children is the first-ever professional line of hair care products made with the highest qulity ingredients. Created by Cozy Friedman, founder of Cozy Cuts for Kids hair salons in New York City, SoCozy products perform at salon level with no nasties- meaning that SoCozy products are non-toxic and have no parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic color, propylene glycol, gluten, wheat, or even nuts. Their mission is to build confidence and support originality in kids while making tub time a snap… so whether you’ve got a kiddo with sensitive skin, allergies, or your family prefers just clean, natural products, the SoCozy line would fit right in and help make bath time a bit more easy.
We have been on a search to find the perfect products in our own home for our kids that I know are safe and free of all of those additives that are not only unnecessary, but harmful to the environment as well. So when the SoCozy products arrived, I was excited to try them out right away. During bath night we started first with the Cinch line- that makes cleaning simple and a “cinch”- and used the Cinch 3-in-1 Shampoo + Conditioner + Body Wash in Mango-Go. It had a super yummy light scent, clear color, and I loved how well it foamed up on the boys’ hair to keep it away from their face and eyes. Of course after a while they splashed and played and got soap in their eyes, but just as stated on the bottle, the Cinch 3-in-1 didn’t cause any tears or irritation, which made bath night even better.
After bath the boys headed off to bed, and of course woke up with crazy bed heads the next day, just in time for the morning rush to take Aiden to school. I grabbed the Cinch Detangler + Leave-In Conditioner and quickly sprayed Ezra and Reese’s hair down. Not only did their hair smell super great and fruity, but bed-head was eliminated in two sprays and a quick comb. The spray was a fine, light mist, and didn’t feel greasy or waxy like other kids products usually do (yay for the no nasties!).
Aiden wanted his hair to look like Daddy’s, so we grabbed the Behave Styling Mousse Medium Hold in Peachy-keen and went to work. It’s specially formulated to add body and volume (or tame curls for curly hair) without being crunchy and sticky. Plus, it has some really smart ingredients, including: Keratin, Soy Protein and Silk Amino Acids, Fruit Acid Complex (Lemon, Orange and Pure Sugar Cane), Kiwi Fruit Extract, and Rosemary Extract. In fact, all SoCozy products feature natural ingredients like hops, rosemary, arnica flower, and aloe, which are great for kids’ hair and scalp. Along with healthy hair and scalp, I think he looked pretty adorable for school!
But the real test for SoCozy Products was the conditioner. Since the boys have short hair and their 3-in-1 Shampoo already had conditioner in it, I decided to really test out the Cinch Super Hydrating Conditioner in berry-whip on myself. I could truly tell as soon as I started massaging it into my hair that it was free of all parabens because the conditioner soaked right into the hair instead of sitting on top of it feeling slick. As a plus for kids, the directions state that it only needs to be left on minute or less before being rinsed out, so no more time waiting for the conditioner to set in either. After rinsing and drying off, I quickly brushed my hair and ran out the door to get Aiden to school on time. By the time I got back home, my hair was almost dry and was so super shiny. I couldn’t believe that a kid’s conditioner left on less than a minute could make my hair look so awesome, even without drying or straightening. Not only were my boys happy with the SoCozy line, I’m still using the conditioner, hehe!
