Never Wordless Wednesday: An Afternoon in Amish Country

This past weekend the girls and I headed to Amish country with some very good friends. Angela and I became friends shortly after I met Dustin and our kiddos have been friends literally since birth.  I absolutely love spending time with them.  On this particular day we visited The Farm at Walnut Creek and I will be sharing our experience there in another more detailed post.  But after leaving there we headed out for lunch and ended up at Dutch Valley Restaurant – gosh, I love me some Amish grub. Hehe.  And to our surprise there was a little festival happening within walking distance.  Of course the kiddos wanted to go over and once we realized all of the kids activities were free we couldn’t say no.

They absolutely loved the barrel train ride which lasted quite a while…

And the bounce houses and slides…

They ran off some energy on the playground and little village of houses…

The Farm at Walnut Creek was even there with a petting zoo so the girls got to feed a camel and had a fun photo opp with a tortoise… well Willow didn’t agree on the fun part, but you get the idea…

We had so much fun and the ride home was pure silence…. pure bliss for a mama.
