Let’s take a trip back in time.  Back to a Christmas morning of your childhood.  Imagine you have just opened the very gift you have been wishing for all year.  As you eagerly rip into the packaging three little words catch your eye.  Batteries not included.  Unfortunately there are no extra batteries anywhere in the house and you are crushed.  The toy that you were so excited about now sits unused until batteries can be purchased and you are one bummed out little kid.  Does this sound familiar?  I know it happened to me a time or two and so I wanted to make sure I never let it happen to my kiddos.

And then Alleigh’s second Christmas rolled around and the hubby and I were working on putting together a Little Tikes play kitchen while visions of Santa danced in her head Christmas Eve night.  We were almost done and so ready for our heads to hit the pillows too when I realized we didn’t have batteries.  Dustin thought she wouldn’t notice, but I knew the first thing she would do when she saw her new play kitchen was press all the buttons.  And so in the middle of the night on Christmas Eve I found myself on a mission to find an open store to purchase batteries.  I managed to get some and I was so glad I did because I was right.  The first thing she did on Christmas morning was press those buttons!

I have since learned my lesson and we now always keep a supply of batteries on hand in a variety of sizes.  I’m also particular about what brand of batteries we purchase because I want them to power the kids toys and other items for a long time as well as having a long shelf life.  For that reason our family chooses Duracell CopperTop All-Purpose alkaline batteries because they are not only dependable, but also long-lasting.  They’re great for many of the toys and gadgets devices we use on a daily basis including Christmas morning!  Plus I can stock up on them without worrying because of the 10-year guarantee in storage with Duralock Power Preserve Technology.

Duracell CopperTop batteries are available in AA, AAA, C, D and 9V.  I try to make sure we have a package of each on hand at all times because you never know when a battery need will arise.  I also love keeping 4 packs of Duracell Coppertop AA Alkaline Batteries on hand because they make perfect stocking stuffers and are great for attaching to gifts that require batteries.  Trust me you don’t want to be the person who gives a gift to a child without including the batteries!

So this Christmas don’t forget the Duracell batteries.  After all their the #1 trusted battery brand of first responders, pharmacists and parents, so you know it’s a battery you can trust.
