Now I’m not meaning to put anyone into a panic… even though I am pretty much there myself… but Christmas is only 10 days away.  Thank goodness we already picked out our Christmas tree and decorated it as well as the rest of the house.  But I am no where near having my Christmas shopping complete and I didn’t even send out Christmas cards this year!  If you’re expecting one from us I am planning on sending out “Happy New Year” cards – I just simply can’t skip cards all together.  I suppose that’s what happens when you add a newborn into the mix a few weeks before Thanksgiving.  With so many tasks left on my ever growing to-do list shopping for and making Christmas dinner is the last thing I want to even think about.  Mama Harper is by no means a chef, but I can reheat like nobody’s business.  And that is why our new tradition is to have HoneyBaked holidays!

It’s much easier for me to make a quick stop by our local HoneyBaked Ham store in Canton, Ohio rather than make a shopping list, brave the grocery store, haul everything home, make a disaster of my kitchen preparing a meal, inevitably burning something, clean up the mess, and so on.  Instead I can pick up the perfect size ham for our family covered in a beautiful and tasty sweet-crunchy glaze, a variety of delicious sides, as well as an assortment of desserts in just a few moments time.

There are so many side dishes to choose from including traditional holiday favorites like stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and more.  I personally am a big fan of the HoneyBaked sliced granny smith cinnamon apples because they are a really versatile dish.  They are perfect by themselves as a side dish to accompany the meal.  You can also put a few scoops over a bowl of ice cream for a delicious dessert which is sure to be a hit with the kiddos.  I’ve even used them as a filling for a homemade apple pie!  Shhhh!  If I baked it in my home then it’s homemade! Hehe.

And speaking of dessert the week before Christmas our local HoneyBaked Ham stores will be stocking delicious fresh baked pies from Mama Jo Homestyle Pies including pumpkin and pecan.

So instead of stressing about Christmas dinner cross one more thing off your to-do list and make a stop by HoneyBaked Ham.  Trust me your entire family will love it – kids included – and you might find yourself starting a new tradition of having a HoneyBaked Holiday every year just like us!
