Books have always been a big part of my life since I was a little girl, and now as a mom, I really want to continue my love of books with my boys. I especially love children’s classics, and the boys’ bookshelves are full of them. One of their favorite authors has always been Eric Carle, with his simple and interactive sensory books (Aiden would repeat The Very Busy Spider when he could just barely talk!). So when I was able to try out Creative Baby’s Eric Carle Happy & Hungry Booster Seat based on The Very Hungry Caterpillar, I knew it would be a big hit in our home!
Since we have a pretty small home that makes moving around a large high chair pretty impossible, booster seats are a perfect fit for meals and snacks. As soon as we got the booster seat all set up for lunch, the boys recognized the bright colors and The Very Hungry Caterpillar images. We buckled Ezra in, and he got right down to enjoying his very favorite food- beans and rice.
The tray easily changes into 3 different positions to grow with baby, and has a clear removable top that makes washing up after a meal a breeze. There is an area for large food, a small section for sides, and a round section where Ezra’s favorite cups fit nicely. Plus, the seat of the booster has a cushioned, wipe-clean padding that makes eating more comfortable and cleanup a little less of a hassle. For smaller babies that are ready to make the move from crawling to sitting down for meals, the back of the booster reclines slightly with a push of two buttons. Plus, the adjustable 3 point harness has come in very handy since Ezra is learning just how good of a little escape artist he can be!
When the beans and rice are gone and clean up is done, stowing the Happy & Hungry Booster Seat is simple- fold the back down, stow the tray away on the bottom of the chair, and lower the height. The chair can quickly go in the closet, under the bed, or the car for a trip to Papaw’s house for dinner.
