School is quickly coming to a close for our boys, and we are all so excited for the arrival of warmer weather.  This year, we even have a new baby joining us, and we’re ready for a summer packed full of fun and learning!  But unfortunately, along with all of the outdoor activities and beautiful weather, a nasty cold bug or two seems to catch on in the transition.  Even though we try our best to keep those germs away, sick still seems to get very real in our house.  Plus, when you have a home full of boys like we do, one with an “ahhh-choo!” quickly turns to three (soon-to-be FOUR!). It’s definitely best for us to be prepared with everything we need on hand before it even starts, which is why we made a run to our local Target and gathered everything we need for the duration of the yuckies.

When we’re overloaded with the yuckies and sick just got real in our house, we rely on a few of our favorites to give our boys some relief. We like to turn the sickness into pajama parties, complete with lots of fluids, boxes of tissues for everyone, plenty of kids movies, and an array of Pfizer Pediatric products.  The first staple for us to always keep on hand is Children’s Advil®.  Not only does it help reduce fevers quickly, but it also soothes a variety of aches and pains, and also comes in a range of flavors (we LOVE their dye-free options!).

For the dreaded cold with stuffy and runny noses, cough, and itchy eyes, we often turn to Children’s Dimetapp® (ages 6 years and up!) to help with some relief.  But when the boys get those colds that seem to settle in the chest with tons of nasty congestion, Children’s Robitussin® Day & Night Cough Syrup is our go-to option.  For daytime, Robitussin® Cough & Chest Congestion is the perfect non-drowsy option to help break up chest congestion while providing cold symptom relief.  At nighttime, we turn to Robitussin® Nighttime Cough, which provides long-acting relief of cough and stuffy/runny noses to help the boys get the sleep their body desperately needs to heal up. It’s a great combo to fight the yuckies both day and night.

We love that all of our favorite Pfizer children’s products are all available at our local Target, plus tons of other products that also help keep my husband and myself yucky-free so we can focus on caring for the boys.  And when I’m overwhelmed with trying to take care of them but want to be sure that I’m treating the right symptoms, I can rely on the Sick Sense Relief Finder over on the Sick Just Got Real™ website to help point me to the right product.  So before the season starts, be sure to look through your cabinets, clear out all of the expired medicines, and head to Target for some effective solutions for when sick gets real in your home.

Plus, be sure to enter below as Pfizer is giving away a pediatric bundle just in time for the season of “icks”, “ews”, and “yuckies”!

***It is important to remember to always read and keep the cartons for complete warnings and dosing information on Pfizer Pediatric Platform products and to use as directed.
