Keep Your Medicine Cabinet Stocked for When Sick Gets Real

During the winter months it seems at least one of my kids is always sick.  After all there are four of them and though they might not like to share their toys or electronics they are more than willing to share their germs with each other.  One of the biggest perks of winter break is that the oldest two aren’t constantly bringing home germs from school to share with the rest of the family.  Those few weeks we seem to get a break from the endless runny noses, coughs, and fevers.  But of course all good things must come to an end and when they head back to school I am always certain that along with their homework the germs will also invade our home.

Since I have a wide range of ages in our home – two, four, six, and eight – it’s important that I have medicine on hand for all of my children.  Thank goodness Pfizer Pediatric products have me covered to help tackle the ickiest of symptoms.  I always make sure to have my medicine cabinet stocked with these products.

When fevers strike I reach for Children’s Advil®.  I love that this one product will work for all four of my girls since it is recommended for ages two to eleven years.  Plus it comes in several great-tasting flavors, including: Sugar-free Dye-free Berry, Bubble Gum, Grape, Blue Raspberry, Fruit and Dye-Free White Grape flavors.  I especially like the dye-free options since we try to avoid artificial food coloring and it’s much easier to clean up if one of my lovely little children decides to spit it all over the place.  Since Children’s Advil works for up to eight hours if I give them this medicine right before bed I know they will get a peaceful nights sleep and so will mama.

When one of my children coughs I can hear it loud and clear.  It’s almost like an alarm declaring that the germs are about to be spread all over the house.  To settle those coughs and attempt to keep the germs contained I reach for Children’s Robitussin® Extended-Release 12 Hour Cough Relief.  It is recommended for children ages four and up so I can administer it to my three oldest daughters to relieve their coughs all day or night.

Stuffy and runny noses… though bothersome, when you have four kiddos it just seems to be a fact of life.  Luckily Children’s Dimetapp® Multi-Symptom Cold Relief Dye-Free eases those runny or stuffy noses while also quieting their cough.  This product is recommended for children ages six and up so it can be used on my two oldest daughters.

I know germs are a fact of life and things just always seem to get worse during the winter months, but with Pfizer Pediatric products in my medicine cabinet I know I can get my kiddos feeling better in no time.  What products do you always make sure to keep stocked in your medicine cabinet?
