This review was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Pampers. I was provided the featured product free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% mine. One of the most beautiful parts of being a mommy is getting to watch your child grow up, milestone by milestone. And while I relish in the excitement of each step, I do sometimes get a little teary-eyed when each step means my babies are getting older. While every first has a special place in my heart, a few of my favorite firsts are the first latch while breastfeeding, first … …..
After some thought I have decided to continue the weekly Watch Willow Grow updates. I love being able to look back on these journals and see how she has changed and when she learned to do new things. Hopefully you enjoy reading them and looking at the pictures just as much. If you’ve been reading them for a year then I suppose you do, hehe. And so welcome to the second year of Willow’s life… PICTURES FROM WILLOW’S 67th WEEK WHAT WILLOW’S DAYS & NIGHTS ARE LIKE… Sleeping: I really think Willow must have some more teeth about to pop … …..
When I was a little girl, my dad always seemed to go out of his way to make Santa Claus and Christmas fun. I remember always putting out cookies for Santa and celery sticks for the reindeer. And one year, Santa even tracked in soot through the house (amazingly he wears the same size as my dad…) when he brought our presents in. I knew when my kids were old enough for traditions, we would be starting our own to give them memories just as great as mine. So when Aiden was old enough to sit with me and read … …..
It’s official. The Christmas shopping madness is in full swing. I’m sure at this exact moment many of you are out with all the crazies scoring some awesome deals. By the way “crazies” is said lovingly because this is my first Black Friday to not be out with the crowds in 14 years. And I’ll admit that at some point tomorrow I will probably head out to a couple stores. One of which will definitely be Carter’s because their deals are off the hook… I mean, hanger. hehe. When it comes to high quality adorable clothes for my kids I … …..
We have two little boys that love Mickey Mouse and everything Disney, but they especially love watching Jake and the Never Land Pirates on Disney Junior. During our trip to Disney World last year, Aiden was incredibly scared of all of the characters until he saw Jake. At that point (followed by the long scream of “JJJJJAAAAAKKKKEE!!! I’M HERE!” to the poor guy), Disney World became so much more fun. So to prep for our upcoming trip to Disney World in a few weeks, the boys were really excited to get the brand new “Jake and the Never Land Pirates: … …..
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for MedImmune Specialty Care. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating. It’s the most wonderful time of the year….. and also the most germy time of the year as well. In the northern hemisphere flu season stretches from October to May with a peak between December and March. There’s no coincidence that flu season coincides with the school year and with Alleigh in kindergarten this year I am even more paranoid than usual. The flu can literally rock your world. I remember coming down … …..
My five year old absolutely loves learning. She definitely has a hunger for knowledge and is doing extremely well in school. One thing she enjoys doing is visiting museums and we are very lucky to live about five minutes away from a wonderful museum with tons of kid friendly exhibits. We’ve also visited quite a few other museums, but have to travel quite a distance to get to them which doesn’t allow for spur of the moment visits. Of course Alleigh also enjoys visiting the gift shop when we are leaving a museum and that is one of the few … …..
Before Alleigh was even born Dustin and I began visiting our local Build-A-Bear Workshop to make her adorable stuffed animals for her jungle themed nursery. Once she was old enough to understand the process she wanted to visit the Build-A-Bear Workshop all the time. In fact now when we are shopping at the mall it is very hard to get out of there without at least making a visit to browse around the store. Of course the girls usually can convince us to let them make a new friend… the process is just too much fun. We end up leaving … …..

Does your little one have a favorite stuffed animal that they drag everywhere with them? I remember my sister dragging around a stuffed bunny with her everywhere and oh my goodness did that thing get disgusting, but prying it away from her to wash it was practically impossible. In the early 1960s Joan and Patsy Bommerscheim solved this dilemma by creating the Bommerscheim Buddie for their children… the only problem was they didn’t share it with the world. In the 1980s Patsy continued making the Buddies for all of her grandchildren, but it wasn’t until this year that the Bommerscheim … …..
