prAna – Clothing for Those Who Care About the Earth, Style, & Comfort

prana-devan-henley-with-hood-up

I love exploring nature.  Hiking and experiencing our earth’s beauty is one of my most favorite activities.  As a mom of four I don’t have the opportunity to do that as much as I would like, but even so my everyday life with four girls is definitely an adventure.  Whether I’m hiking along a cliff’s edge or chasing my toddler across the playground one thing is certain – I want to dress for comfort, but still look stylish while doing so.  And since I love and respect our earth and want my great great great grandchildren to enjoy it as … …..

Award Winning Toys from The Manhattan Toy Company {Giveaway}

playful-dino-landon

Have you started Christmas shopping yet?  I am slowly beginning to check names off of my list.  When it comes to gift giving I like to put a lot of thought into what I choose for each of my children.  There is one company that I can always depend on for high quality toys that provide hours of open ended play for my little ones.  That encourages my children to use the most powerful thing they will ever play with – their imagination.  Toys that don’t require batteries.  That are made with wood from sustainable forests and decorated with water … …..

‘Tis the Season for Portraits at Portrait Innovations

1c

Christmas will be here before we know it and I admit that I have been starting to panic a bit.  I have literally only purchased 3 gifts so far and don’t have a clue what my two oldest daughters are hoping Santa brings.  Even though I really want to decorate the house I am secretly cringing a bit inside because this year there is a two year old roaming the house – not to mention the cat.  But there is one thing that I have officially checked off my holiday to-do list thanks to Portrait Innovations.  Just last week I … …..

Imaginative Play Rules This Christmas with MiO Play Sets {Review and Giveaway}

housesetup

Every year it seems like we need to do a big toy sweep in the weeks leading up to Christmas to make room for the new toys that will brought home after holidays with the family.  While there is a place and time for the exciting new electronic toys and building sets with billions of tiny pieces, there’s a special spot in my heart for the simple, imaginative toys that have very few parts and can last for years. This holiday season, Manhattan Toy (whom we LOVE!) has created a special line of open-ended play toys for parents just like … …..

Sharing NEW Luvs Ultra Leakguards with NightLock Plus™ with Friends

luvs-party-lea-landon

Last weekend I had the opportunity to invite some of my very good friends over and their little ones to share the new improvements that Luvs has made to their already amazing diapers.  I wish I could have invited each and every one of my readers, but unfortunately I don’t think everyone lives close enough and well my house just wouldn’t fit ya’ll either, hehe.  Since you couldn’t be here I thought the next best thing I could do would be to recap the party here on the blog. Before everyone arrived I spent some time that morning preparing for … …..

Enjoying Pizza While Supporting The Literacy Project

reading-at-pizza-hut

Yesterday I asked Alleigh, Kaelyn, and Willow to work together to clean their bedroom which was a complete disaster.  As the day went on it became very apparent that Alleigh was doing the vast majority of the cleaning while her sisters were playing or complaining.  Once the room was cleaned I decided to reward Alleigh by taking her out to eat – just the two of us.  She chose Pizza Hut and I was absolutely stoked.  I love Pizza Hut, but we usually order delivery.  There’s just something extra delicious about Pizza Hut fresh from the oven still in the … …..

Ninjago Warrior and Babywearing Lego Costume Tutorial

wholefamily_1

Growing up, my mom loved Halloween.  We went all out with house decorations, costumes, pumpkin carving, and everything spooky.  I had some of the most amazing costumes as a child, and most of them were DIY by my mom and grandma (Grandma had some AMAZING sewing skills!).  With 4 kids, we’ve carried on the DIY costume tradition for a few reasons.  My favorite reason is that with a little planning, most DIY costumes can be really cute and unique.  Also important, though, is that DIY costumes tend to be way cheaper when you have a large family.  This year the … …..

Super Simple Juice Box Mummies

juice-box-mummies

Alleigh and Kaelyn’s Halloween parties are this week at school and I have volunteered to do a few things for each of their classes.  And why not share those creative things here on the blog?  For Alleigh’s party one of the things I volunteered to do was bring juice boxes.  But who just brings plain old juice boxes?  Not this mama.  And don’t start thinking “oh you are just being an over achiever.”  This was literally the simplest crafty project I could ever do and yet it adds a super cute element to their party that I know the kids … …..

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents Out of this World at Quicken Loans Arena through October 23rd 2016

ringling-bros-space-clown-silly

Yesterday evening we had the opportunity to attend the opening night performance of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents Out of This World at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.  Through out the evening we experienced an intergalactic adventure that took us to many different planets before landing safely back on Earth.  But before the show even began we had a blast with the Starseeker’s Early Access which is free with all tickets. The girls had so much fun meeting many of the circus performers up close and getting their pictures taken with them too.  They participated in an … …..

Striving for Mind-Body Balance with Nature Made®

nature-made-gummies-for-her-in-hand

This post was sponsored by Nature Made® as a part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. In the past year I have made some huge lifestyle changes.  I have drastically changed how I eat.  I’ve cut out all soda, tea, coffee, juice and only drink loads of water and a small glass of milk each day.  I have increased my exercise.  I have worked with my doctor to adjust my anxiety and depression prescription medications.  I have definitely seen vast changes in both my body and mind.  But one thing that I have wanted to start, but just hadn’t pushed … …..
