PROUD TO BE A:
This post was sponsored by SwimWays as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own. Summer is officially here and that means lots of time by the pool. My girls and I would be poolside from sun up to sun down if it was possible. But being near water throws in a whole new set of dangers that we don’t deal with on a regular basis. In fact drowning is the leading cause of unintentional injury death in the United States for children ages one to four years old. It … …..
There are 6 mouths in our family….. well 6 human mouths. Five of those I am responsible for keeping sparkly clean and cavity free. I’m pretty sure the husband can fend for himself, hehe. With four girls sometimes it’s a struggle to make it through the day let alone make sure everyone has brushed their teeth. Did I even eat breakfast today? Thankfully my two oldest daughters are now old enough to take care of their oral hygiene themselves, but it does take some reminding. We’ve also discovered a few products that make the whole process a bit easier so … …..
Last night I went to bed a little earlier than normal because I was just feeling a bit off. When I woke up this morning I realized why when I tried to swallow and found I had a sore throat and my head felt all stuffy. I crossed my fingers that no one else had this crud, but when I walked out into the living room I saw that sick got real in my house. My poor little Willow Bean was curled up on the couch looking rather miserable while coughing and as she said “dripping snot boogies.” A few … …..
This post has been sponsored by Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. All thoughts and reviews are my own. During the winter months it seems at least one of my kids is always sick. After all there are four of them and though they might not like to share their toys or electronics they are more than willing to share their germs with each other. One of the biggest perks of winter break is that the oldest two aren’t constantly bringing home germs from school to share with the rest of the family. Those few weeks we seem to get a break from … …..

I’ve cut out all soda, tea, coffee, juice and only drink loads of water and a small glass of milk each day. I have increased my exercise. I have worked with my doctor to adjust my anxiety and depression prescription medications. I have definitely seen vast changes in both my body and mind. But one thing that I have wanted to start, but just hadn’t pushed … …..
In addition to my four girls I also have two fur children. Both were rescued and hold a very special place in my heart. We welcomed Kitty Nova into our home in August of 2015 and T-Rex joined us in January of 2016. Just like my children have annual well doctor exams and visits when an emergency occurs I treat my animals with the exact same love and care. The only difference is the humans in my house have health insurance which covers a great deal of our out of pocket expenses while I find myself footing some pretty hefty … …..
This post was sponsored by AstraZeneca as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own. Do you know the leading cause of hospitalization for babies during their first year of life in the United States? It’s a disease that can cause up to 125,000 infant hospitalizations and around 200 infant deaths per year. Yet 1/3 of mothers have never heard of it. Respiratory Syncytial Virus more commonly referred to as RSV. I had heard the term before, but didn’t quite realize the seriousness of this disease until Willow, then 8 … …..
My favorite time of year is upon us. I absolutely love everything about autumn… pumpkins, fall foliage, apple cider, sweater weather, hay rides, and so much more. I suppose there is one thing that I could really do without though and that would be cold & flu season which begins to increase in October. With the big girls back in school we’ve already had a round of colds make its way through our household. As a mom of four I have definitely learned that it is always best to be prepared because you never know when an illness is going … …..
This post was sponsored by Cleveland Clinic Children’s as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Roughly fifteen years ago my parents came to me and explained that my dad had been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy (heart muscle disease). As a child a virus had attacked his heart which is what caused it to become abnormally enlarged. As a result his hearts ability to pump blood had become weakened and his ejection fraction was very low. Ejection fraction is a measurement of how much blood the left ventricle pumps out with each contraction. … …..
We’ve been a family of 6 for just about 4 weeks now, and summer break is in full swing. While my husband has been off work with me to adjust to our new family and sweet baby Julian, we’ve had so much fun spending quality time with our boys. Since the weather has been pretty much beautiful, we’ve spent a ton of time enjoying the outdoors. Our boys play outside every day they possibly can, and we’ve been burning through the sunscreen like no tomorrow. Since children receive three times as much sun exposure than adults do every year, we … …..
