PROUD TO BE A:
Have you checked the grandparents off your Christmas shopping list yet? If you haven’t there’s nothing to worry about because I know exactly what they want and there’s still time to get it in time for the holidays. All they want is to see the precious mugs of their grandchildren – perhaps their mug on a mug, but more on that later. And so if you want to capture your little one’s smiling face or even the whole family in time for Christmas gifts there is only one place to go. Portrait Innovations. A few weeks ago our family was … …..
One of my favorite movies to watch during the holidays is definitely Elf. I can’t help but smile every time Buddy says “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.” I’m definitely not a singer, but that isn’t stopping me from spreading Christmas cheer. I found another way everyone can spread cheer during the holidays regardless if they can carry a tune or not. Cookies! Who doesn’t love cookies?! And the best part is you don’t even have to be talented in the kitchen because Betty Crocker has you covered. Last week Willow and … …..
This #ClausAndPaws shop has been compensated by #CollectiveBias Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. This summer when we arrived home from vacation we discovered an adorable gray kitten had been dropped off at the end of our street. We live on a dead end and so this tends to happen from time to time. After a little bit of begging from the kids and lots of promises to always clean the litter box, feed, water, and play with her we decided that the timing was right to add a pet to our family. If you follow along … …..
I don’t know about you, but I am super excited for Christmas this year. I’m looking forward to continuing our family traditions while adding new ones too. The day after Thanksgiving I will pack away all of the fall decorations so I can deck the halls with boughs of holly and my many many boxes of Christmas decor. I firmly believe that one can never have too much Christmas decor and so I am always on the look out for new pieces for our home. That’s what led me to swing by our local Hallmark Gold Crown store after picking … …..
We have lots of traditions for Christmas and the holidays around our house, and I shared a new one we started last year with you- a personalized video message direct from Santa for the boys. Well, I’m excited to share about Portable North Pole again with you this year, with even more Christmas magic for children and families than they had last year! There’s all kinds of fun to be had this holiday season- from video messages, phone calls, and games, to behind the scenes photos of Santa’s workshop and the reindeer’s stables. Just as with our own family, Portable … …..
I’m counting down the days until November 15th. Curious why? Well because that is the day that if Baby Harper #4 hasn’t arrived by I will be decking our halls (walls, shelves, and mantle) with Christmas decor. I’m highly considering starting to dry orange slices as well as string popcorn and cranberries for the Christmas tree even sooner. It makes sense to me because once she’s here I’m not going to want to set her down to accomplish these tasks – so why not do it now? I’ve already started checking other holiday related tasks off my to do list … …..
It’s hard to believe that we’re nearly half way through December. Christmas will be here before we know it. And I must admit I feel like a big slacker this year…. the shopping isn’t done, I forgot to move the elf one night, and I haven’t even sent out Christmas cards yet. The good news is that there is still time for me to accomplish all of these things and the first thing to check off the list is the Christmas cards. I love receiving personalized cards with pictures of our friends, family, and loved ones every year and so … …..
I received complementary Portable North Pole products in exchange for this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Aiden is just this year beginning to see and love the magic of Christmas. He’s really starting to understand Santa, the North Pole, elves, and all of the fun to be had. We have also talked about the idea that Santa brings gifts to good boys and girls only (hey, you gotta do what you gotta do, right?! Don’t judge!). So this year, it was really awesome to have Santa call Aiden on the phone, write him a letter, and create … …..
One of my favorite things about Christmas time is all of our traditions both old and new. Dustin and I take our girls to pick out a live Christmas tree just like our parents did with us each year growing up. We use the same Christmas countdown calendar that I used growing up – an awesome garage sale score. This year we started a 24 days of books count down where the girls get to open a wrapped book each night and then we read it before bed. And every single year since Dustin and I have been married we … …..
When I was a little girl, my dad always seemed to go out of his way to make Santa Claus and Christmas fun. I remember always putting out cookies for Santa and celery sticks for the reindeer. And one year, Santa even tracked in soot through the house (amazingly he wears the same size as my dad…) when he brought our presents in. I knew when my kids were old enough for traditions, we would be starting our own to give them memories just as great as mine. So when Aiden was old enough to sit with me and read … …..
