Have you started Christmas shopping yet? I am slowly beginning to check names off of my list. When it comes to gift giving I like to put a lot of thought into what I choose for each of my children. There is one company that I can always depend on for high quality toys that provide hours of open ended play for my little ones. That encourages my children to use the most powerful thing they will ever play with – their imagination. Toys that don’t require batteries. That are made with wood from sustainable forests and decorated with water … …..
Since our sweet 4-month-old boy is our last baby, we’re trying to soak in and savor every new milestone, skill, and smile he throws our way. I think I could never tire of watching him learn his current skill of grabbing items of interest and inspecting them. I love seeing his chubby little fingers grasping new objects and turning them over and around, with smiles and looks of awe. Throughout this stage of discovery, toys that pique his interest and encourage exploration are important to keep around. The Manhattan Toy Company is one company that I know I can rely … …..
I don’t know about you, but I am super excited for Christmas this year. I’m looking forward to continuing our family traditions while adding new ones too. The day after Thanksgiving I will pack away all of the fall decorations so I can deck the halls with boughs of holly and my many many boxes of Christmas decor. I firmly believe that one can never have too much Christmas decor and so I am always on the look out for new pieces for our home. That’s what led me to swing by our local Hallmark Gold Crown store after picking … …..
We’ve been so busy finishing the sale of our home and buying a new one that Christmas and the holiday season have totally snuck up on me! I tend to be a very early shopper, searching out the best deals throughout the spring and summer. By now, I usually have a majority of my shopping completed- especially for my boys (ages 2, 4, and 5). Well, this year, I have about three things bought for them. Since I thought a few of you may be in the same boat as me with the bustle of the school year taking over, … …..
Does your little one have a favorite stuffed animal that they drag everywhere with them? I remember my sister dragging around a stuffed bunny with her everywhere and oh my goodness did that thing get disgusting, but prying it away from her to wash it was practically impossible. In the early 1960s Joan and Patsy Bommerscheim solved this dilemma by creating the Bommerscheim Buddie for their children… the only problem was they didn’t share it with the world. In the 1980s Patsy continued making the Buddies for all of her grandchildren, but it wasn’t until this year that the Bommerscheim … …..
“Once upon a time, there was a young mom who wanted the best for her little one. She looked online and in the store, but nothing was pure, cute or fun enough – her child deserved more! So she searched inside her heart and gave Tiny Tillia its magical start. Tiny Tillia is a land where kisses grow on trees, giggles sprout like wildflowers and sweet scents fill the air. You won’t find it on the map. But hug your baby and in a snap, the Tiny Tillia bunch will appear with wonderful products and plenty of cheer.” I am … …..
It seems like just over night Willow has become more mobile. She can roll, crawl, sit herself up from crawling, and pull up. Since she is so much more active now she really enjoys playing with toys and one of her favorites is a Lilliputiens play set that she received from HABA to try out. HABA is the exclusive US distributer of Lilliputiens, the land of little wonders, which includes a line of small, fairytale rattles, puppets, and squeakers. These adorable toys are 100% original from the patterns to fabrics to characters and were designed by a team of five … …..
Already having two little girls in our house we seriously have an overload of toys. So much that I could probably donate 50% of them (if not more) without Alleigh and Kaelyn even realizing it. But even though that’s the case Willow still needed her own toys that had never been played with by her sisters and when I saw the selection at Mamas & Papas I knew she just had to have some. So when these items arrived at our house I was beyond excited to check them out! Before I talk about them in depth though I wanna … …..
A few weeks ago I shared an awesome company I stumbled upon – Geared for Imagination which is an Ohio based creator and distributor of high quality toys. In fact they are located about a half hour from me which I thought was pretty awesome! Geared for Imagination was founded in 2009 by two dads – Ryan Hamilton (3 daughters, 1 son) and Bret Faber (1 daughter, 1 son) – who have combined their many years in the toy business and their experience as father’s to bring only the best toys to their customers. Ryan and Bret have selected an … …..
