If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram you’re probably well aware of the fact that I love taking photos to share with my friends, family, and of course my readers.  In the course of a day you might see my big girls being silly, Willow sleeping, my dinner, a new product that arrived to review, or a million other things that I think are share-worthy.  I bet I have shared hundreds if not thousands of photos over all of the social media channels I participate in, but now those photos can do more than make someone smile or … …..

Share, Tweet, Pin, or Watch to Share Breakfast with a Child in Need

KelloggsShareBreakfast_thumb.png

It’s a fact that saddens me, but a fact none the less that one in five kids may go without breakfast each morning.  Knowing this makes me so thankful that we are able to provide a refrigerator and pantry full of food for our little ones to choose from to start their day off right.  And on the days that Alleigh goes to prekindergarten she is also provided with a healthy start to her day there as well.  But so many kids do not have this basic need met.  How can they concentrate on filling their minds with knowledge or … …..

Help Support the Book by Book Campaign {Plus $25 Barnes & Noble Gift Card Giveaway}

100_3641_thumb.jpg

I have always loved reading and so I wanted to try my best to pass that love on to my children.  I figured the best way to accomplish this would be to have tons of books at their reach from a very early age and so on Alleigh’s first birthday I asked everyone to sign a book for her instead of a card.  This was an awesome way to instantly grow her little library and we still read many of those  books today!  And it seems that I was on the right track with wanting my kiddos to have books … …..

Gearing Up For Back To School With The Boys and Girls Clubs of America!

school_thumb.jpg

I really can not believe that my little Alleigh will be starting pre-kindergarten next week.  It seems like only yesterday I was waking up in the wee hours of the night to nurse her and change her diapers.  And now she’s potty trained, uses “big kid” cups, and is going to school!!  Yes, I have shed quite a few tears over this already – in fact I feel them welling up in my eyes just typing this – and I am sure that the first day of school will not be any easier.  In preparation for her first day of … …..

Have you heard of the Race Across America (RAAM) – the world’s toughest bicycle race?  It is one of the world’s longest running sporting events lasting from June 16th to June 21st-25th beginning in Oceanside, California and ending in Annapolis, Maryland – that’s a long bike ride! Making a Difference with Johnson’s Baby Cares

johnsons4_thumb.jpg

So I was sitting here thinking about this past Mother’s Day and how it’s wonderful to have a day to celebrate the women in our lives that we love and have made an impact on our lives.  But for me I love celebrating being a mother everyday.  I am so grateful that I am able to stay home with my girls and watch them grow up.  And that with my husband’s income we are able to provide them with everything they need plus lots of extras that aren’t really necessary at all, hehe.  But it breaks my heart that some … …..

Operation Smile: Because Every Child Deserves a Beautiful Smile

Lucas-before-and-after-650_thumb.jpg

There is nothing that warms my heart more than looking at my adorable girls and seeing those precious smiles they have. Well sometimes those smiles are a bit more mischievous than precious, but you get the idea, hehe.  Every child deserves to have a smile like my girls.  A smile that can light up a room and put a grin on your face even when you’re feeling down.  But the sad truth is not every child is blessed with a beautiful smile.  In fact every three minutes a child is born with a cleft — often unable to eat, speak, … …..
