Lend a Hand to Kick Off the School Year Right with Champions for Kids & Purell Hand Sanitizer

I participated in this program on behalf of Purell brand and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own. The countdown has officially begun.  In less than two short weeks I will be sending my oldest two off to school.  Alleigh will be entering first grade and Kaelyn will be attending pre-kindergarten.  Preparing for back to school always puts a bit of a stretch on the bank account with all of the shopping that needs to be done.  School supplies, clothing, book bags, food to pack for lunches, and lots more.  I am so thankful that I have the means to … …..

CampusBookRentals.com & Operation Smile – The Textbook Alternative That’s Changing Children’s Lives

This past Halloween I took my kids to an annual event at our local college called the Halloween Open House. They can dress up and go around the campus from college group to college group collecting candy. It brought back fond memories since I used to go to school there and work at the campus. I was actually the candy runner that kept all of the buckets filled with candy. It got me thinking about how long I’ve been out of college and had a slight panic attack because I was getting old! Ahh, I sorta miss those fun younger … …..

Help Diaper a Baby in Need with Huggies {Plus Month Supply Giveaway}

When it comes to keeping a baby happy there are only a few things that are absolute necessities.  Food to fill their tummy.  Loving arms to hold, snuggle, and play with them.  And diapers to keep their bottoms fresh.  Chances are if a baby is crying doing one of those three things will dry up those tears rather quick.  I feel very blessed that I am able to provide my children with everything their little hearts desire {within reason}, but my heart breaks for the moms that struggle to provide these basic necessities. In August a study was released in … …..

Take a Pop Quiz to Donate School Supplies to Local Boys & Girls Clubs of America

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating. For the past few weeks I have been preparing for Alleigh to head off to kindergarten both by shopping for school supplies and emotionally preparing myself for this new stage in my first born’s life.  Earlier this week we attended her kindergarten assessment, last night we completed her first homework assignment, and tomorrow will be her first official day of kindergarten.  I think they should have put a box of tissues … …..

Round Up at JCPenney to Support the Boys and Girls Clubs of America

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating. When you see children playing or teenagers chatting what runs through your mind?  I think of our country’s future.  Perhaps that’s a bit deep, but the reality is the success of our country depends on future generations.  And that is why I sincerely hope and pray that every infant, toddler, child, tween, and teenager that calls America home is presented with the opportunity to truly be all that they can be.  … …..

Share, Tweet, Pin, or Watch to Share Breakfast with a Child in Need

It’s a fact that saddens me, but a fact none the less that one in five kids may go without breakfast each morning.  Knowing this makes me so thankful that we are able to provide a refrigerator and pantry full of food for our little ones to choose from to start their day off right.  And on the days that Alleigh goes to prekindergarten she is also provided with a healthy start to her day there as well.  But so many kids do not have this basic need met.  How can they concentrate on filling their minds with knowledge or … …..

Help Support the Book by Book Campaign {Plus $25 Barnes & Noble Gift Card Giveaway}

I have always loved reading and so I wanted to try my best to pass that love on to my children.  I figured the best way to accomplish this would be to have tons of books at their reach from a very early age and so on Alleigh’s first birthday I asked everyone to sign a book for her instead of a card.  This was an awesome way to instantly grow her little library and we still read many of those  books today!  And it seems that I was on the right track with wanting my kiddos to have books … …..
