Learning Resources–Rhyme & Sort Rockets Review & Giveaway
Alleigh is loving every minute of being in prekindergarten and is constantly sharing different things she learned about in school with me. She definitely has a hunger for knowledge. In fact today she informed me that we live on Earth which is a planet and that there are eight planets. Oh and that “the little one Pluto isn’t a planet anymore and Saturn has a lot of rings”… she is only four years old! Since she loves learning so much I thought it would be a great idea to have some educational products at home as well. That’s what led … …..

2012 Holiday Gift Guide: Caboodle Kids Review & Giveaway
This post written by Anne – guest reviewer at Children Teaching Mama. When little children start showing an eagerness for learning, it’s important to have fun and engaging resources on hand to inspire and teach them. That’s the idea behind Caboodle Kids early learning products. The Caboodle Kids “Critter Crew” is featured on all of their learning resources, which are designed with toddlers and pre-schoolers in mind. We received the Rhyming Critter Crew Alphabet Cards ($14.95) and the Alphabet Critter Crew Color-Me Placements (retail $10.95) to try with our four-year-old, Benjamin. Right off, I loved how large, sturdy and colorful … …..

2012 Holiday Gift Guide: Willy’s Wiggly Web Cooperative Game by Peaceable Kingdom
Alleigh and Kaelyn have both reached ages where they love to play board games. Well, I guess I should say they like to win board games because if they lose… let’s just say you don’t want them to lose. And so I tend to avoid playing board games with them and opt for other activities instead. But thanks to Peaceable Kingdom we can enjoy playing games again! And that’s because these aren’t your traditional games. Instead they are cooperative games – never heard of a cooperative game? No worries – I hadn’t either until I discovered Peaceable Kingdom. What is … …..

2012 Holiday Gift Guide: Learning Resources Jumbo Safari Counters Review & Giveaway
I’ve said it many times but when it comes to toys for my girls I look for things that are educational and require them to use their imagination when they play. I’m not fond of anything that they push a button and then just watch it do something. So if you are like me then a great website to check out for Christmas gifts this year is Learning Resources – a leading global manufacturer of innovative, hands-on educational products trusted by teachers and parents and loved by children. Plus they have 1,100+ high quality products to choose from. The girls … …..

The BabbaBox: A Perfect Preschooler Gift
It’s no secret that I love making crafts and doing educational activities with my kids, but when I come up with these ideas they usually require prep work. It could mean running to the store to get the necessary materials, researching online, or searching around the house for something before we can even get started. And sometimes by the time all of that is accomplished there’s no time to actually do what we were planning and our fun project get’s pushed to the next day. But what if everything we needed magically appeared at our house each month and all … …..

K’NEX: New & Improved Tinkertoys Building Sets
Do you remember playing with Tinkertoys when you were a little munchkin? I absolutely loved them…. except the fact that the sticks were wooden and if stepped on they would crack in half leaving them totally useless. And so when I found that K’NEX had put a modern twist on this almost one hundred year old toy (invented by Charles Pajeau in 1914) I just knew I had to try them out…. I mean my kiddos wanted to try them out, hehe. The Tinkertoy set we received was the Vehicles Building Set which came with 78 pieces, 10 building ideas, … …..

VTech InnoTab 2 Learning App Tablet Review
Tablets are definitely on every tech savvy adults wish list – mine included…. though I don’t have one yet. My four year old daughter on the other hand does have one! It’s pretty bad when you’re jealous of your four year olds electronics, hehe. Alleigh looks like a little grown up toting her VTech InnoTab 2 Learning App Tablet around – so cute. There are so many activities and awesome features on the InnoTab 2 that I have never once heard Alleigh utter the word “bored” when playing with it and she really likes how it “knows” her since you … …..

VTech MobiGo 2 Review
A while back I downloaded some kiddie games onto my smart phone to occupy Alleigh and Kaelyn, but little did I know this would mean that my phone would literally become their phone. Not to mention it made me a bit nervous to let them play with it for fear they would drop it or spill something on it. And so I finally came to the conclusion that they needed something just for them that would impress them as much as mom’s smart phone. I found just what I was looking for in VTech’s MobiGo 2. I love toys that … …..

Alleigh and Kaelyn both love music and dancing. In fact sometimes I think the only reason they like to watch movies is to dance to the music when the credits are rolling, hehe. That is exactly what Baby Genius does since they are committed to providing music-based products that are entertaining, educational and beneficial to the well-being of babies and young children.
