Pokémon Pikachu Valentine’s Day Box Tutorial & Printable Cards

Pokemon Pikachu Valentine's Day Card Box

One of my favorite things about elementary school was the holiday parties.  I especially loved making a Valentine’s Day card box each year with my mom or dad.  One year we made a box to look like a boom box and it actually played music.  Now that I have my own kids in elementary school when Valentine’s Day rolls around I always ask what they want their box to be and we execute it to the best of our ability.  This year Kaelyn asked for a Pikachu Valentine’s Day card box and she also wanted Pikachu Valentine’s Day cards to … …..

Super Simple Juice Box Mummies

juice-box-mummies

Alleigh and Kaelyn’s Halloween parties are this week at school and I have volunteered to do a few things for each of their classes.  And why not share those creative things here on the blog?  For Alleigh’s party one of the things I volunteered to do was bring juice boxes.  But who just brings plain old juice boxes?  Not this mama.  And don’t start thinking “oh you are just being an over achiever.”  This was literally the simplest crafty project I could ever do and yet it adds a super cute element to their party that I know the kids … …..

How to Make a Halloween Ghost From Trash Bags

trash-bag-ghost

I love making crafts, but sometimes before I know it I’ve spent a small fortune to make one of my ideas come to fruition.  That’s why I am so excited to share this adorable Halloween decoration I created.  I bet you already have every supply you’ll need somewhere in your home.  In fact the main supply is white 13 gallon kitchen trash bags!   In our home we always have Hefty Ultra Strong Drawstring Trash Bags on hand because I love their exceptional performance and low price.  Heck, I’d even compare their strength to John Cena!  Plus did you know … …..

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. Living in Canton, Ohio we are privileged to be within miles of experiencing all of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festivities at the end of July each year.  There are so many fun events to attend all centered around supporting the Pro Football Hall of Fame Museum and induction of new Enshrinees.  Simply put it’s a time to celebrate our love for everything football related.  And the best part is it ends with the first preseason game of the year – … …..

Hello Kitty Valentine Mail Box Tutorial

HelloKittyValentineBoxSide.jpg

Some days I still can’t believe that my baby is a kindergartener.  But instead of wishing she was still a baby I am embracing all of the new activities we get to do together like preparing for her Valentine’s Day party at school.  When I asked what she would like her mail box to look like it definitely wasn’t a surprise when she told me Hello Kitty.  Together we whipped up an adorable box for her to take to school and I am going to share just how simple it was to make with you. Supplies: 1 box (preferably white) … …..

Have a “Ball” This Valentine’s Day – Free Printable

HaveABall.jpg

Aiden is pretty excited this year for his first ever Valentine’s Day party at school, and I’m lucky enough that they have invited moms and dads to come too! I was also really excited to get to do his first ever Valentines with him, but I wasn’t super impressed with the selection available in the stores. It seemed like everything boy themed is some sort of superhero or sports team that he hasn’t even heard of yet. So we decided to make our own. We took one of Aiden’s favorite phrases- “Let’s have a ball!”- and made a fun Valentine … …..

Free Valentine’s Day Card Printable – Just add bubbles!

ValentinesDayCards.jpg

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and Alleigh is super excited for her kindergarten class party.  I’ve been a bit stressed because I know there will be lots of red candy and sweets… which for me translates to lots of red40 which has been banned from our home.  And so I wanted to make some Valentines with Alleigh that were free of the sweets, but still had a special treat.  Of course we could have picked up some store bought cards, but what’s that fun in that?  Instead mama whipped up some cute Valentine’s and I even made a free printable … …..

Super Simple Penguin Footprint Craft

PenguinFootprint.jpg

I spent New Years Day taking down both of our Christmas trees and any holiday decorations that were Santa related.  I leave up everything that has snowmen or penguins though since their more winter than Christmas.  And well winter will be here for quite a while longer.  The fireplace mantle looked a bit bare though and so the girls helped me on a little craft project to fill up some space.  I absolutely adore craft projects that incorporate my little ones hand and foot prints because soon enough they won’t be so little anymore. And so today I turned their … …..

Finished_thumb.jpg

The Crayola product, gift card, information, and additional gift pack have been provided by Crayola. While I wouldn’t always call myself crafty, I do become the crafting queen when it comes to my kids, especially when I can use kid-friendly supplies.  Who doesn’t want those adorable crafts at Christmas time that you know the kiddos have poured their heart and soul into (and little messy hands, of course)? This year we decided to do a fun craft for the boys’ Mamaw that will fit perfectly up on her fireplace mantle among her snowman collection.  Plus it was great using a … …..

Making It Monday: Painting With Bubbles

Painting With Bubbles

It’s Monday!  That means it’s time for Making It Monday.  Some weeks the crafts will be super simple, some times they’ll be a bit more complex, and sometimes they’ll be perfect for toddler participation.  Regardless you can be sure that you’ll always find something adorable with instructions so easy to follow that even the craft-challenged will be able to replicate the project in their own home – promise! Today while eating lunch my niece, Kenzie, was using her straw to blow bubbles in her glass of milk.  And somehow that got me to think of a fun craft to do … …..
