Our family has always been a fan of competition and team building. From the time my husband and I first met each other, we’ve always been a bit more than slightly competitive. From church camp sports teams as kids to paintball as teens and now tabletop board games as a family, we love to compete and challenge each other. Our boys have definitely followed in our footsteps as they have entered the world of sports, and have taken full advantage of our big yard this summer to try out different games. Recently, we were able to invite other families and … …..
This is our first summer in our new house, and the boys are so excited to spend tons of time outdoors. Before, we lived in the city with a sizeable yard for the neighborhood, but it was shaded and pretty rocky. Now we sit on almost half an acre with a tulip tree and some pine trees, and flat, beautifully green country lawn. The boys have already started soaking up the summer sun with their swing set and trampoline, but we had a heat wave last week that demanded something a bit more cool. We broke out our brand new … …..
My favorite time of year is right around the corner. Autumn is absolutely gorgeous in Ohio with the vibrant leaves and cool breezes. It is definitely perfect weather to spend time outside. Willow loves playing in our backyard while her big sisters are at school. I love that our backyard is fenced in so that I can tend to Lilah without worrying Willow will escape to the front yard. We recently had the opportunity to try out one of Little Tikes newest playhouses which Willow was super excited about adding to the backyard toys. The first thing I did when … …..
I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Pier 1 Imports. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation. We have a decent sized backyard with a covered cement patio and lots of toys for the kiddos to play with yet since moving in nearly seven years ago we have never truly used it. This year I decided I wanted to do something about that. I wanted to make our back patio functional by having comfy chairs for the adults to sit and … …..
I am partnering with Step2 for the following review. I received a product in exchange for my review and honest opinion. No other compensation was provided. Willow is a climber. Anytime you turn around for more than thirty seconds she is attempting to climb up on something she shouldn’t be. Instead of constantly telling her no I thought it would be a much better idea to get her something she would be allowed to climb on as much as her little heart desires. The only stipulations I had were that the product must be lots of fun for Willow to … …..
Summer time is here and gosh it is hot outside. If your kids are anything like mine then they are always wanting to visit the local swimming pools and water parks. Now going swimming is lots of fun, but for moms it’s also lots of work. Gathering up everything you will need.. swimsuits, towels, sunscreen, toys, swim diapers, sandals… loading it in the car, lugging it around, keeping an eye on the kids, paying to get in to the facility, the gas it takes to drive there. Are you exhausted just reading that? Well what if you could bring the … …..
Whenever you go to local fairs or carnivals do the bounce houses immediately draw the attention of your children? I swear those things have the same effect on my children that lights have to moths. And then I end up spending tons of money to stand there and watch my kiddos jump up and down and up and down… and yes while I love that it burns their energy up I hate that it is burning a hole in my pocket. And so I thought why not get our very own bounce house so that they could jump any time … …..
I’m a bit of a Step2 addict. These toys are built to last and I know that when I invest money in a toy made by Step2 that I will not be disappointed. What I didn’t realize is that Step2 is literally in my back yard! In fact their headquarters are only about 45 minutes away in Streetsboro, Ohio. Plus they are the largest American manufacturer of preschool and toddler toys and the world’s largest rotational molder of plastics. I had remembered my younger sister having a ride-on toy tractor when she was little and had been searching for one … …..
Like 99% of parents out there toys that require batteries drive me nuts. I remember when I was little loving to play outside and now it seems most toys have kids sitting on the couch staring at the television or computer. And that is why I was so excited to learn about the PlasmaCar! This toy gets kids moving and only works by using their energy – how brilliant is that?? The PlasmaCar is available in five different colors – yellow, red, blue, pink, and purple. Dilly chose pink and I love how sharp it looks with the black accents. … …..
