Spring is finally showing up here in Indiana and the weather has been awesome for a couple days now. My boys have had a blast playing outside after being cooped up all winter, so slowly and surely, the toys have all started to trickle outside as well. One of their favorite toys to play with not only inside, but now outside as well, has been the MiO Eating + 2 People set I reviewed a few months ago from the Manhattan Toy Company. Made as multiple modular sets, each one is made from wood, gender neutral, and really awesome for … …..
Christmas is less than a week away. I was fairly certain I had all of my shopping done until I heard my four year old say “I really hope Santa brings me new running shoes like I asked for.” And so I will be heading back out into the madness to pick her up a cute pair of sneakers because mama forgot that was indeed one of the few things she had specifically requested. If you are in need of some last minute gift ideas for little ones I simply can not say enough good things about Green Toys. Over … …..
Every year it seems like we need to do a big toy sweep in the weeks leading up to Christmas to make room for the new toys that will brought home after holidays with the family. While there is a place and time for the exciting new electronic toys and building sets with billions of tiny pieces, there’s a special spot in my heart for the simple, imaginative toys that have very few parts and can last for years. This holiday season, Manhattan Toy (whom we LOVE!) has created a special line of open-ended play toys for parents just like … …..
I participated in this program on behalf of The Fred Rogers Company and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own. There is only one show I vividly remember watching when I was a little kid and I watched it every single day at 5 o’clock while my mom made dinner – Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. My favorite part of the show was always when the trolley took us to the Land of Make Believe to visit Henrietta Pussycat, Lady Elaine, King Friday, and of course Daniel Tiger. While watching cartoons with my girls one day I was excited to see a … …..
I received product from Peppa Pig for reviewing in this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Our television seems to always be on the Nick Jr. channel because it is full of shows that all three of my kiddos enjoy watching. One of those shows in particular is Peppa Pig. This animated show follows the daily adventures of Peppa who lives with her brother George, Mommy Pig, and Daddy Pig in the United Kingdom where they speak with an engaging British accent. Peppa enjoys playing games, dressing up, going on trips, and jumping in muddy puddles with every … …..
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Polly Pocket. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating. I absolutely loved playing with my Polly Pocket play sets when I was a little kiddo. And so when I saw the new version of this same great toy I just knew my own daughter’s would love them just the same. Now these definitely aren’t the Polly Pockets I remember playing with, but they are fun in a whole new way. With the Polly Pocket Wall Party you … …..
If you have little ones in your house that enjoy watching Disney Junior chances are you have watched at least a few episodes of the Octonauts. It’s an adorable show that follows the daily adventures of eight underwater scientists and explorers that make up a rather unlikely crew – polar bear, kitten, penguin, dog, sea otter, bunny, octopus, and vegimal (part vegetable-part animal) – that work together to explore the world’s oceans, rescue the creatures who live there and protect their habitats – both above and below the water. They do so under the leadership of Captain Barnacles (polar bear) … …..
Kaelyn absolutely loves the television show Peppa Pig. Never heard of her? Well then you must be living under a muddy puddle, hehe! Peppa lives in the United Kingdom with Mommy Pig, Daddy Pig, and her brother George who all speak in charming British accents. The Peppa Pig show takes little munchkins on many adventures with Peppa, her family, and friends then always ends with loud snorts of laughter that make them all fall down – Kaelyn especially loves this part! And so when I heard that Peppa Pig toys, books, and DVD’s were going to be available at Toys … …..
Mermaids are one of those magical creatures that tend to grab the attention of every little girl. They even did to me when I was a little one. I remember thinking of how awesome it would be to be a mermaid, swim around the ocean, live in a sand castle, and have sea creatures for friends. And since being introduced to Waverly and the Magic Seashells from the world of Azarella my girls love mermaids too. I must admit I’m a tad jealous though because there were no awesome mermaid toys like this when I was a little munchkin, hehe. … …..
Almost a month ago I wrote a blog post about some awesome new Polly Pocket toys (Hangout House & Patio) that Alleigh and Kaelyn got to try out. Since then they have been playing with Polly and her friends every chance they get. They loved how they could make Polly and her accessories stick anywhere they wanted thanks to the suction cups on each piece. And so for the past month they have been having fun with Polly swimming in her pool, swinging, grilling out on the patio, and taking bubble baths. Recently a new play set arrived at our … …..
