Have you started Christmas shopping yet? I am slowly beginning to check names off of my list. When it comes to gift giving I like to put a lot of thought into what I choose for each of my children. There is one company that I can always depend on for high quality toys that provide hours of open ended play for my little ones. That encourages my children to use the most powerful thing they will ever play with – their imagination. Toys that don’t require batteries. That are made with wood from sustainable forests and decorated with water … …..
Summer time has finally arrived which means our family is spending most of our days beside the pool. We decided to invest in a pool pass and so far have been at the pool at least twice a week. If we decide to stay home for the day at the very least the kiddie pool gets filled in the backyard. Basically to us summer fun equals water. During our time at the pool I have seen quite a few waterlogged stuffed animals tossed to the side which is why I never let my girls take their favorite plush pals anywhere … …..
I don’t know about you, but I am super excited for Christmas this year. I’m looking forward to continuing our family traditions while adding new ones too. The day after Thanksgiving I will pack away all of the fall decorations so I can deck the halls with boughs of holly and my many many boxes of Christmas decor. I firmly believe that one can never have too much Christmas decor and so I am always on the look out for new pieces for our home. That’s what led me to swing by our local Hallmark Gold Crown store after picking … …..
We’ve been so busy finishing the sale of our home and buying a new one that Christmas and the holiday season have totally snuck up on me! I tend to be a very early shopper, searching out the best deals throughout the spring and summer. By now, I usually have a majority of my shopping completed- especially for my boys (ages 2, 4, and 5). Well, this year, I have about three things bought for them. Since I thought a few of you may be in the same boat as me with the bustle of the school year taking over, … …..
When you have three kids, you seem to accumulate an enormous amount of toys rather quickly, without even noticing it in the process. You learn that there are toys that when stepped on can feel like walking across hot coals, toys that would be fantastic additions for Mamaw’s house (or any house, really, just not mine!), toys that you put on the very top shelf because of it’s incredibly annoying catchy tunes, and toys where no matter how hard you try, you will NEVER have all of the pieces back in the box at one time. So along with accumulating … …..
Ever since I had kids, Kohl’s has been one of my very favorite places to shop for my family. Not only can I find some really great sales, but their coupons and Kohl’s Cash deals make shopping there very rewarding. Plus, Kohl’s has such a variety of items in the store that I know I can pretty much grab everything I need in one visit. It’s definitely become a favorite place for birthday gifts since I have quick access to clothes, home goods, toys, candles, and even some great kitchen items. My kids love Kohl’s and tend to get a … …..
Finally, the mailman stalking can stop, hehe! Our SoftJox plush sports characters came this week, and they’ve been such a big hit with the boys. You can read all about how we ordered them and how I obsessively watched for the mailman to bring it here (PS- my husband works for the post office, so being a mailman stalker isn’t quite as weird when you know them as someone other than just the mailman… I think). Well anyway, here they are! First off, I was so impressed at how big their SoftJox characters were! They are big and plush, and … …..
Even when it was just my husband and I, our house breathed sports on a daily basis. In fact, date nights were often planned around who was playing what sport at what time. As the years have gone by and children have been added, NOT A SINGLE THING HAS CHANGED. Everything still revolves around sports, but now I also have 3 crazy little boys starting to love it just as much as their daddy! Over the last year we’ve let the boys dabble in sports a bit through our local YMCA, and have tried out t-ball, soccer, and basketball. But … …..
I wrote this review while participating in a campaign for Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Playskool. I received product samples to facilitate my party and review, and a promotional item to thank me for participating. I seem to be in that stage of life where both myself and many of my friends are constantly on-the-go, with days filled up of driving kids to school, going to appointments, repeating the alphabet and numbers one at a time, diaper changes, and hoping we make it to the potty in time for the little ones. A few weeks ago, we got a … …..
Before Alleigh was even born Dustin and I began visiting our local Build-A-Bear Workshop to make her adorable stuffed animals for her jungle themed nursery. Once she was old enough to understand the process she wanted to visit the Build-A-Bear Workshop all the time. In fact now when we are shopping at the mall it is very hard to get out of there without at least making a visit to browse around the store. Of course the girls usually can convince us to let them make a new friend… the process is just too much fun. We end up leaving … …..
