Playground Essentials from Pish Posh Baby… Plus a $50 Gift Card Giveaway
I am so happy that the warm weather and sunshine finally seems to be here to stay. That means we’ll be spending a lot more time outdoors and visiting our local parks pretty frequently. Alleigh and Kaelyn absolutely love playing on the playgrounds, but since Willow is only beginning to be mobile the only activity she can participate in is swinging. And so I needed a place to hang out with my littlest while we watch the big girls run around and burn off all their energy, hehe. I found just what I needed at Pish Posh Baby plus quite … …..

Christmas Shopping with eBay!
Christmas is now just a tad over a month away and I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to freak out a bit. I haven’t purchased a single Christmas present yet – not one!! I used to love heading out into the hustle and bustle each year, but since having kids the thought of either dragging them along with me or hiring a babysitter is rather daunting. And so now most of my shopping is done online from the comfort of my couch while I watch Christmas movies in my sweats and my kids play – so much easier. … …..

Mama Harper’s Plans for Small Business Saturday!
It seems like I just began sharing all the great details about Small Business Saturday and now we are only 3 days away! Are you ready to go out and support the small businesses in your community? I know I am. On Saturday I will be hitting the town with my mom, younger sister, and Willow…. I’d bring my big girls too, but I’m going to be doing my Christmas shopping so gotta leave them home. The game plan is to hit up a local craft show – ya don’t get much smaller than one woman (for the most part) … …..

10 Benefits to Shopping Small
It’s amazing how fast November is flying by… next week is Thanksgiving and then two days later is Small Business Saturday on November 24th. I am really excited about getting out and supporting local small businesses by doing the majority of my Christmas shopping that day – in fact I’m not going shopping at all on Black Friday. Instead I’m gonna hang out at home and decorate for Christmas… maybe we will even go out and pick out our Christmas tree that day. Sounds much better and more peaceful than dealing with all the crazies. Plus by waiting until Small … …..

Neighborhood Toy Store Day Is Almost Here! November 10th 2012
I can’t believe Christmas is less than two months away. The toy ads have started arriving in the mail, but basically every single one has the same exact selection of toys and in all honesty I’m not finding anything too interesting, educational, or entertaining in any of them. Alleigh and Kaelyn have been looking at the ads too and haven’t seemed very intrigued either. And that’s when I realized that we needed to look in a different direction since the national chain stores didn’t have what we were looking for perhaps some local neighborhood toy stores would! That is what … …..

Gearing Up For Back To School With The Boys and Girls Clubs of America!
I really can not believe that my little Alleigh will be starting pre-kindergarten next week. It seems like only yesterday I was waking up in the wee hours of the night to nurse her and change her diapers. And now she’s potty trained, uses “big kid” cups, and is going to school!! Yes, I have shed quite a few tears over this already – in fact I feel them welling up in my eyes just typing this – and I am sure that the first day of school will not be any easier. In preparation for her first day of … …..

Make Shopping Enjoyable Again…
It’s funny how things change once you have kiddos. Before I had Alleigh I loved to go shopping. I could hit up the mall for hours with my friends and slowly browse through every single store. And of course we always finished up our shopping trips with lunch or dinner in the food court. And then Alleigh arrived. And we would still go sometimes…. juggling one baby while shopping wasn’t too difficult, but then we added in Kaelyn and let’s just say going shopping is one of the last things on my mind. Pushing a single stroller through a crowded … …..

Fight Poverty Through Fair Trade with Traidcraft
With all the moaning and groaning I hear on a daily basis… such as having to pay the electric/gas/water/mortgage bills… I really think people forget they should feel blessed that they have these resources available to them. There are so many people in third world countries who don’t even have a roof over their head or food to eat. But did you know there is a way you can help fight poverty? And that is through fair trade which is trading that is done legally and in which fair prices are paid to producers in developing countries. In the UK … …..
