I’ll admit it – I really hate running errands even though I know I have to do it. Remember when we were kids and got rewarded for doing simple things that we should have been doing anyhow? Wouldn’t it be nice if we got rewarded more as adults? Of course I now prefer money over the candy rewards of my childhood. So what if you could be rewarded with money for running those errands that you have to do anyhow? Well guess what – there’s an app for that. Seriously, there is! I am really excited to tell you all … …..
Thefts seem to be happening in my neighborhood more than I care to admit. It’s also happened to us with our cars a few times. That thought crosses my mind pretty frequently when I’m coming and going all weird hours of the night (life of a night shift nurse!). Thankfully, there’s a new free app that can help me get a little peace of mind when I’m in those situations called React Mobile. React Mobile helps you turn your phone into a powerful lifeline with two key components. First, the React Mobile app has an emergency indicator built in. Any … …..
I have a love affair with my iPhone. I’ll admit it. I cannot go anywhere without it! I’ve noticed lately, however, that my 3 year old is developing a love affair with it too. I’ve slowly added some games and entertainment for him (great for those long doctor’s office waits!), and I often find him sitting with my phone playing a game or two when I’m not paying attention. I have tried to include games that make him think or be creative, and I’ve recently found a new app that does just that – PlayTown: My Story Maker. PlayTown is … …..
If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram you’re probably well aware of the fact that I love taking photos to share with my friends, family, and of course my readers. In the course of a day you might see my big girls being silly, Willow sleeping, my dinner, a new product that arrived to review, or a million other things that I think are share-worthy. I bet I have shared hundreds if not thousands of photos over all of the social media channels I participate in, but now those photos can do more than make someone smile or … …..
As part of the Pull-Ups “First Flush” Ambassador Program I had the pleasure of hosting a little get together for Kaelyn and her potty training buddies. Now it was nearly as big as the NYC Larger Than Life Potty Training Celebration in Times Square, but the kiddos still had a good time, hehe. Due to the crazy amount of germs making their way around and the sudden snow storm only a few friends were able to make it to the party, but we made the best of it. Everyone chowed down on fruit, dip, and snack cakes. Then while the … …..
I have always had a love for books and can remember spending entire Saturday mornings curled up in my bed reading Babysitter Club books until my mom asked if I was gonna come out of my room any time soon, hehe. When I became a mom I knew that I wanted my girls to have every opportunity to achieve that same love of books because I knew that there were so many proven benefits of being read to and reading as a child. For example did you know that children regularly read to by an adult arrive at kindergarten ahead … …..
Keeping their family safe is at the top of every parents priority list and we try the best we can, but sometimes there are products and even foods in our homes that can pose a danger to our children. Why would we let these things into our homes? The answer is simple – because we don’t know they are a danger! In fact in 2011 there were 121 recalls for children’s products in the United States, which accounted for 11.63 million units of product – 11.63 million times something could have potentially went tragically wrong. To be a tad more … …..
Do you, your significant other, or perhaps even one of your children have asthma? I feel very blessed that no one in our home deals with this, but I have been very sick a few times to the point of needing to use an inhaler because I was having trouble breathing. Those few instances gave me a small glimpse into the world of what someone suffering from asthma attacks feels like on a daily basis. And so when I found this smart phone app I knew it was something I wanted to share with my readers because the number of … …..
