We’ve been so busy finishing the sale of our home and buying a new one that Christmas and the holiday season have totally snuck up on me! I tend to be a very early shopper, searching out the best deals throughout the spring and summer. By now, I usually have a majority of my shopping completed- especially for my boys (ages 2, 4, and 5). Well, this year, I have about three things bought for them. Since I thought a few of you may be in the same boat as me with the bustle of the school year taking over, … …..
Life has changed pretty drastically since my oldest started school. While I thought life was busy before, I didn’t realize just how busy it gets when you have bus stops to get to and sports practices all throughout the week. Its definitely been go, go, go! I’ve also learned that with all of that rushing and running around, my kids are needing more activities that we can pick up and take with us wherever our schedules lead us. One of my favorite game companies, Peaceable Kingdom, has come up with a great solution for crazy schedules just like ours- Games … …..
The product has been provided by VTech so I could experience it with my family; however, the thoughts and opinions are all my own. We love playing with VTech toys in our house, and as I’ve recently shared, our boys have all had VTech toys through their many stages of growth and development- newborn to the kindergarten years. While they loved the baby toys, I’m finding that Aiden seems to be the most interested in his VTech toys right now as he’s learning to write words and form sentences. And since the other two boys know that VTech means fun, … …..
Every once in a while I get a nostalgic feeling and take some time to go back over all of our pictures of the boys from the time they were newborns. The long nights seem to stretch on forever, but looking back, they grew so fast. The rate at which they each developed just astounds me! Even today I had to take a moment to think about just how quickly Ezra has learned to talk since getting his tubes in his ears in February. They are just constantly learning and changing, you know?! In effort to keep their minds and … …..
Product samples have been provided free of cost in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I have always had a love for science since I was a little girl, and I continue to enjoy it now as an adult. I’m blessed to have a job that combines my love of science with my love of new life and making an impact. Since I want my boys to be able to experience the same thing as they grow, I want to introduce science and a passion for learning to them now so they can embrace … …..
My favorite time of year is right around the corner. Autumn is absolutely gorgeous in Ohio with the vibrant leaves and cool breezes. It is definitely perfect weather to spend time outside. Willow loves playing in our backyard while her big sisters are at school. I love that our backyard is fenced in so that I can tend to Lilah without worrying Willow will escape to the front yard. We recently had the opportunity to try out one of Little Tikes newest playhouses which Willow was super excited about adding to the backyard toys. The first thing I did when … …..
I received this product free of charge in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. We’ve had our house up for sale, so consistently keeping the boys’ rooms tidy and organized has been a disaster work in progress. Part of our uncluttering plan was to eliminate a lot of the unsightly toy mess, and focus on only keeping toys in our home that would promote creativity, encourage imagination, and well, don’t have a lot of tiny pieces. We’ve realized in the last week or so that the boys have actually spent more time playing … …..
After home schooling Reese for preschool last year, I can honestly say I’m just as tired of school work as Reese is. However, I really wanted a way to keep the boys thinking, writing, and reading throughout the summer without doing the same thing we have been doing. The summer reading program at our library has really helped with vocabulary and exposure to different books (hello, prize incentives!), but I needed something different to keep them thinking… something easy, portable, and fun for the boys to do. Of course they love games, so something that mixed learning and playing would … …..
When you have three kids, you seem to accumulate an enormous amount of toys rather quickly, without even noticing it in the process. You learn that there are toys that when stepped on can feel like walking across hot coals, toys that would be fantastic additions for Mamaw’s house (or any house, really, just not mine!), toys that you put on the very top shelf because of it’s incredibly annoying catchy tunes, and toys where no matter how hard you try, you will NEVER have all of the pieces back in the box at one time. So along with accumulating … …..
Every day we get a little more excited that the summer sun is getting closer and closer (literally… we celebrate a few degree increase daily!). My boys love to play outside and we’re just about done with what feels to be the everlasting winter. Luckily, we’re not the only ones that feel this way, and we’ve found the perfect solution for the winter that seems to be straight out of Frozen (yeah, I’m a bit dramatic, but COME ON SUMMER!). This is where Pacific Play Tents has come in just in the nick of time to save us from the … …..
