Castaway Bay Wave Pool

Today is the first day of spring and the weather forecast is looking promising for warmer temperatures.  I hate to wish spring away, but I just can’t wait for summer to get here to spend our days playing by the pool.  Luckily in Ohio we have some amazing indoor water parks available and two weeks ago we visited one of our favorites – Castaway Bay – in Sandusky, Ohio. That weekend getaway helped my girls to beat some of their winter boredom blues and also sparked their excitement for summer to get here quickly too. When entering the Castaway Bay … …..

A few weeks ago my sister, the girls, and I had the pleasure of attending a media trip to explore Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  As a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan I have visited the city a few times to cheer on my team during games.  From those visits I knew that Pittsburgh is an absolutely gorgeous city.  The rivers that surround the city and bridges that span over the water are simply breathtaking.  I could spend an entire day just driving around and taking in the gorgeous architecture.  And even in the middle of a huge bustling city you will still find … …..

Beat Cabin Fever with a Trip to Castaway Bay {Sandusky, Ohio}

CastawayBay Water Park

The weather might be warming up, but in Ohio we are still a few months away from pool days.  However that hasn’t stopped us from swimming because a few weeks ago our family visited Castaway Bay in Sandusky, Ohio.  My girls and I always seem to get some cabin fever in the winter months and spending a few days at the water park is a sure fire way to cure it. We’ve made our annual trip up to Castaway Bay for the past four years and each year I have shared our experiences through blog posts.  Our first few years … …..

Dover International Speedway – Fun for the Whole Family! {Plus Win Tickets to the AAA 400 on October 4th 2015.}

FanZone1_1

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Dover International Speedway. I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation at the conclusion of the program. Growing up I can remember coming home from church, plopping down on the living room floor, and watching NASCAR on Sunday afternoons.  Now with four daughters of my own and a hubby who also loves NASCAR our Sundays are pretty much the same.  And though we love spending time relaxing together from the comfort of our own couch I’ve been thinking that it would be really exciting to … …..

Go On A Safari Without Leaving Ohio at The Wilds

Wilds5

I have always thought it would be amazing to go on an African Safari.  But I know realistically it will most likely never happen.  The cost is just simply to high especially with a family of six.  Airfare, hotels, passports, and more.  The cost would simply be astronomical.  Then I discovered that I could go on a safari without ever leaving Ohio.  And when I experienced The Wilds I truly did find it hard to believe that I wasn’t on the other side of the world. But I was in fact in Cumberland, Ohio visiting North America’s largest conservation facility … …..
